And I KNOW many of you know what book this is.  Hopefully some of you also know what CD cover she is holding as well.
I held off on reading this book for a very long time.  My sister finally passed her well-worn and well-passed around copy to me.  I started reading it and found it poorly written, juvenile, boring.
Then around page 120 I caught myself cheesing like a fool on the Metro.  I was giddy, I was excited, and I secretly wished for a train delay so I could read for a little bit longer.
This weekend was full of soft knits and cozy sweaters – we hunkered down, stayed inside all weekend except for a few minutes where we took bundled Emerson outside to experience big fat fluffy snowflakes falling on her face.

  1. sheesh, you guys are harsh on meyer. don’t need to put it down to make up for loving it. i am wishing she’d finish midnight sun.

  2. I read the series, all the while wishing that someone with the ability to write well had been gifted with that engrossing story. Despite my aggravation with Meyer’s apparent lack of a thesaurus, I have to admit the books were hard to put down.

  3. Ahh…the Twilight fever! I was late to the party on this one too, but like you, I got hooked and once I started I could not stop reading! On book 4, I started reading it at about 10pm and at 5:30am when hubs got up for work he said “Have you been reading all night?!” Yes, I did. I finished it though, a few minutes later!

  4. what a cutie pie!

Hey Allie- quick favor to ask- could you maybe participate in the “go red” awareness campaign by posting about your intent to wear red on Friday for National “wear red for women” day- it’s to increase awareness to heart disease. I actually did a blog post about it over at my wardrobe blog- Would love to spread the word across the blogosphere! Wouldn’t it be cool if a bunch of wardrobe bloggers posted their red outfits for the occasion?

Thanks! And have a great day!
