August 0012August 0021The merino shift from Banana Republic with black ballet flats from Target (THIS is why I state on my other blog that ballet flats are NOT a wardrobe staple for all women. How unattractive are they? Ack!), same silver hoops and cuff.

Hair was straightened while dry with dryer and round brush.

Makeup – just added a bit more of the philosophy foundation, khaki shadow from Revlon ColorStay shadow quad in Neutral Khakis, black UltraLiner from Maybelline on top lash line, and a second layer of DiorShow mascara in black and Nars blush in Orgasm. On lips is Nars lipstick in Dolce Vita.

I went out with friends and knew I would be at bars and clubs where I would be on my feet the entire time. I went shopping for flats and found NOTHING I liked so I stuck with my ugly ballet flats. Spent most of the time sitting, so no one really saw my feet so it was okay. Also it rained so I ended up tromping through a few puddles and was glad to not be wearing nicer shoes.

  1. Allie,

Your legs still look good even in the flats. Different look for you from the usual heels, but I don’t see them making your legs look short, or your ankles thick. IMHO, your ankles in this photo are the shapeliest I’ve seen them.

Perhaps you would like them better in a nonbasic, i.e. a leopard print or metallic gold?
