Today is a day where the outfit looks far better in person than these photos. This morning I thought it was ready to snow, it was so gray and gloomy out. But the outfit is pretty cheery and fantastic. I considered my teal pencil skirt but asked Emerson (yes, Emerson) and she said that the “shiny black” skirt was a better choice. My husband agreed, said it was less “Sesame Street” which is what he calls my overly colorful ensembles!

I am in such a tough shape right now… the body is constantly morphing, tightening, loosening, changing. I bought these white jeans a couple weeks ago and they were snug. I wore them Saturday and they got super baggy. Today they look a mess, even after being tossed in the dryer. Way too large. Sucks…

  1. Even better in person!? Wow, because think it looks pretty freaking phenomenal right here. PS: on your next post with the striped sweater (which I LOVE), I hate you because of that skirt… haha, I never got a chance to get it but tried it on when full price and swore I would purchase it when on sale. Missed my chance. Boo. Looks fantastic on you!

  2. Such a gorgeous blouse – and that leather skirt is fabulous one thousand ways ( I agree with the little fashion stylist  : > )

  3. I absolutely love your style; especially digging the leather skirt of this outfit.

Since discovering your blog, like Chris, I have made an effort to view your outfits on a daily basis , and I must say, they have helped me to generate ideas for my own wardrobe/daily outfits.   Thank you for being brave enough to share!

  4. Allie,

Since I discovered your blog, I check your outfit every day. You always look so fabulous and you have the most winning smile. Your pictures help me start my day with a smile.

I searched your blog and found a number of good  bits on plus sized women. I wonder if you would consider gathering them together in one place on your blog and adding a link to them on your ‘Best of Wardrobe Oxygen’ list? I think it would be very helpful to us plus sized ladies.

  5. Tee hee hee…Sesame Street did have lots of attention-getting colors!  I love this combo with the ruffles and the royal blue drawing my attention.  You brighten up the day!

  6. Love the leather skirt.  Everyone at my office dresses so boring, it is a snooze fest.  I swear their eyes pop out when I wear red or green pants.  I kinda feel that there is no reason to dress in the stereotypical black pants, sweater set every day, blah.  You look great, maybe I should have some more eyes pop out with a leather skirt 🙂
