Yesterday and today there is no A/C in our office, and my job requires me to be here in person to use certain technology. While it would be tempting to dress in the least amount of clothing possible, I decided instead to dress in 100% cotton so it would breathe. And really, with such a situation, one can't think of the phrase, “When life gives you lemons make lemonade.” So I am creating lemonade with this cotton skirt I recently found on eBay!

Have a wonderful weekend, and for those in the US who have Monday off, enjoy the holiday!

Went to a small concert venue (250 seats, you sit and are served drinks while you watch the entertainment) in Annapolis with my husband and his cousin. First day at the new job! It was really pretty out, took flats for trekking around and a pashmina for warmth and that was about it. 1. Man, how I love that skirt!  I actually stalked it for a while at Talbots before eventually talking myself out of it, but found myself thinking about it again the other day.  LOVE how you’ve styled it.

  2. That’s so cool, that you wear your Mom’s bag. I have a few precious bags that belonged to my mom – my daughter confiscated one of them – a gold lame clutch, very 70’s.

  7. Loving this whole outfit. I may have to borrow this look that’s it if I can find a lovely skirt like yours.

  8. This outfit is suuuuuuuper cute! It has the vibe of all the outfits Gwenyth Paltrow wears in “The Talented Mr. Ripley” which is basically how I want to dress all summer long. Plus, lemons!

  12. I bought that shirt that shirt, and it just came in yesterday.  I love the way you have it tied up.  I was just thinking this morning that I’ll need to do something with it to wear with shorts and this will be perfect.

I also love the skirt.  I have two girls who love to eat lemons like they are oranges (which I think is crazy!), and they would both love this.
