I bought this dress during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and loved it… except for the length. I'm only 5'3″ but the XLP was utterly indecent. Funny, after I ordered it I went back and Nordstrom changed the description from dress to tunic.  I exchanged it for a Large Regular and wore it… and the whole side seam unraveled while I was at work!  So glad I was wearing it with leggings and had a cardigan hanging on the back of my door.  Call me crazy but I went and exchanged it for a third one, again in Large Regular.  This one is both wider and longer than the previous LP, which was perfect in length and size and far more durable.  This is the perfect fall to winter go-to dress. I wore it in September with bare legs and my tan Clarks suede booties, have styled it with my heeled knee-high boots, and here have it more casual with my denim jacket, tights, and these new ankle boots from 7 Dial Shoes.  It's relaxed enough of a fit that I can layer underneath when the temps drop and light enough to layer over it without turning into the Michelin Man.

7 Dial Shoes Patchwork Ankle BootsI must admit I was hesitant to get these shoes from 7 Dials. I have wide feet and often I find gifted shoes are too narrow in the toebox or the ankle to work on me. I usually refuse unless it's a brand I already know. 7 Dial Shoes asked the styles I liked and measured to see if they would fit. And I am pleasantly surprised to find over the ankle boots that fit my solid ankles and shins. Not only that, they're cute and comfortable. I've worn them since with my denim jumper and a long-sleeved tee and with skinny jeans and a tunic sweater.

  1. So those boots, I was just looking at a way more expensive pair and passing up on them because of the price but may have to give these a try!
