If you follow me on Snapchat, you know I wore this look last Thursday to the Goodwill VIP Popup Trunk Show at the Pepco Edison Gallery. What a fun evening! I met a few friends for “linner” at Zaytinya beforehand, and saw many more (and a few of you fabulous people!) at the event. After I went with my BFF and sister to Proof for a glass of wine before heading home. There were racks for each blogger who curated a collection, plus plenty more and upcycled furniture and art by Tim Kime.
I found this dress on Etsy. I was looking for tee shirt style dresses, hopefully one that could be off the shoulder and not basic black, grey, or navy. This one came up from momandpopcultureshop, and I loved the Gauguin-inspired print and the batwing sleeves. The dress is in pristine condition, I wonder if it had ever been worn or even laundered. Attending a Goodwill event, I really wanted to wear something thrifted. I knew this would be a fun event so I wanted to wear color and something joyful. This dress was perfect! To amp up the fun factor, I styled it with bright orange suede pumps, a printed clutch (a favorite), and my bamboo name earrings. Sometimes a lack of coordination (there isn't even any orange in my dress) pulls everything together!

This pictures shows a bit of the event as well as me and Michsi shopping the collection (photo via Goodwill of Greater Washington). There was so much good fashion! Vintage, popular designers, handmade oddities, some pieces still with original sale tags still attached!
Here I am with Alison, Sydney, and Rosana outside the event. Other than my feet hurting by the end of the night, this was a perfect outfit for the event. Thank you all who attended the event, Goodwill raised a nice amount of money, and I know many of you left with some fabulous fashion scores (I left with this adorable vintage coat which only cost $14!). I'm honored to have been part of this great event that supported a great organization that does so much for the DC area!

If you follow me on Instagram you know I am lowkey obsessed with highlighter yellow this summer. Actually, this love of neon yellow began last summer and has just grown in intensity. I’m thrilled to see this summer so many retailers have jumped on the neon train, as it’s the perfect antidote to all the…

Black tank from Jessica Chaus, which I got at Marshall’s during the first trimester of my pregnancy. I loved it then because it wasn’t maternity, but worked with my changing shape. It was funny, after I had Emerson I tried on this tank and it looked so DUMPY, I was surprised. I now realize it…
Hmmm… last night I felt I was channeling Morticia Addams. This morning without makeup I felt very Lily Allen. All in all I am liking my new raven head and can’t wait to play with it more! So last night I went to my stylist Kathleen and asked for dark hair “dark brown, almost black.”…
