Picture 016Today may not have been my first day back, but it's the beginning of my first actual week. I drove myself to the Metro versus my husband driving me to the office on Thursday. Carried that heavy pump and laptop bag, building some muscles!

I had lunch with a dear friend which made the day easier, and I also took a picture of Emerson asleep in her Daddy's arm just before I headed out the door… (sorry so dark but I didn't want to turn on the light and wake them)

Oh those baby CHEEKS!!! 🙂

  1. Baby cheeks are the best. Seriously! I’m devoid of any mothering desires, but even I cannot resist wanting to kiss and munch on sweet baby cheeks. You look great!

  2. I hope that your first full week goes well for you all!
The pic of your girl is just too beautiful!!
P.S. my word verification is “lucked” – you have very much lucked out with that beauty of a girl!

  3. Oh, I well remember those days. I always kept a pic of my baby in my pump’s outer pocket so I could trigger my let down faster and remember why I was pumping in the first place. If you can afford it, buy two pumps. One to keep at the office and one for home. Makes a HUGE difference. And keep a stock of spare parts like valves that tear or get lost easily. What’s easy now may not be so easy later on. There’s a great resource for pumping moms that helped me form 9 year relationships with other mothers: http://www.pumpingmoms.org/

    SO GLAD you’re nursing!

  4. Girl, those cheeks are LUSCIOUS!!! I know it just about kills you to have to leave her. I remember when Bookey was growing eyelashes, how it was all I could do make myself walk out that door, and even then, tears in my eyes. Motherhood is NOT for the weak…
