While waiting for my sister to drive home on Friday (we commute to work together and we ended up leaving work at the same time Friday night) I stopped into Ann Taylor.

Added to the wardrobe:
– Fuzzy black cowl neck sweater (longer than my merino one, deeper cowl)
– Gray flannel trousers
– Black tank with ruffles on it (cute alone for a night out or under a cardigan or jacket for work or weekend)

All these items were on sale and I had a coupon for 30% off my purchase so it was $100 for all three.  Not too shabby for really nice pieces that are quite versatile.

I also received a pair of dark straight leg jeans from Not Your Daughter's Jeans that aren't too bad.  Very high rise and a bit too long, but I think they are quite flattering and I like the straight leg.  Review soon.  I also will soon be reviewing a cami I got from Second Base that I adore – wearing today and wore yesterday as well!

Ah, nothing is better than stating aloud your feelings – if they are not positive for some reason, admitting them causes them to go sunny. I woke up on the right side of the bed and decided to get a bit creative with my clothing. Purple merino sweater dress from Goodwill. Yeppers you read that…

It snowed on Wednesday. A lot. Enough that we wondered if the government would close early or have liberal leave. Enough that a few freaked out. I didn’t, I took the Metro to work and had my husband picking me up. No worries. However on Thursday morning, it was very icy and some courts and…

  1. I had a pair of NYDJ two years ago, and was really disappointed in how much they stretched out. The supposedly girdle-like front panel was especially stretchy, and made me look *worse.* Maybe your pair will be an improvement…I’ll be interested in your review. They’re so expensive and the rise is nice and high, I really wanted them to work. Glad you’re back posting!

  2. Oh, nice! I look forward to hearing your Second Base review. I liked what I heard about them on YouLookFab but haven’t ordered one for myself. As a fellow busty gal, several great camis are an absolute wardrobe essential.
